About Human Robotix
Human Robotix builds HRX-1, a portable robotic interface for studying upper-limb neuromechanics. Its adjustable mechanism can apply and measure motion at the wrist or elbow in horizontal and vertical orientations, supporting experiments in motor control, rehabilitation, biomechanics and human-machine interaction.
Integrated angle and torque sensing accompany current, velocity and position control, with a stated movement range of plus or minus 140 degrees and peak torque of four newton-metres. Researchers can program the system through MATLAB, Simulink or C++, synchronize it with EMG and EEG equipment and pair two units for bimanual protocols. HRX-1 weighs four kilograms and is supplied as a research instrument.
