About
About Jungheinrich
Jungheinrich supplies industrial trucks, automated warehouse systems, software and lifecycle services for intralogistics operations. Founded in Hamburg in 1953, the group combines conventional material-handling equipment with automated vehicles, storage technology and fleet orchestration across a global service footprint.
Its robotics portfolio includes autonomous mobile robots and automated forklifts for pallet and material flow, alongside capabilities from subsidiaries such as arculus and Magazino. The EAC 212a autonomous forklift uses contour-based navigation, three-dimensional pallet detection, obstacle sensing and automatic charging for mixed warehouse environments. This positions robotics as an integrated part of Jungheinrich’s broader warehouse-automation stack rather than a standalone experimental programme.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-10-22 - Partnership - Jungheinrich and Automha partner on two-way pallet shuttle
Initial pallet transport can remain manual, with an upgrade path toward automated material flow. The partners combine Automha shuttle technology with Jungheinrich integration, software and lifecycle services. Development from concept to market readiness took nine months.
Source - 2026-10-01 - Product Launch - Jungheinrich opens EAC 212a autonomous pallet robot for orders
Integrated lifting connects floor storage, conveyors, production and dispatch workflows. Launch software includes automated block storage and retrieval, pallet-position management and autonomous disruption recovery. Demo and try-and-buy programmes let customers evaluate the robot in their own operating processes.
Source - 2026-09-22 - Deployment - Jungheinrich EAE 212a enters Elster factory service
The AMR carries Euro-pallet loads among 12 stations over a route of about 210 metres. The system has operated since early July and is explicitly a pilot; Elster may expand it if results justify more vehicles. The vehicle navigates without artificial landmarks and operates among people and changing floor surfaces.
Source - 2026-02-19 - Product Launch - Jungheinrich launches EAC 212a for autonomous high-lift transport
The truck handles loads up to 1,200 kg at transfer heights up to 1,200 mm. AI-assisted 3D pallet detection compensates for position and angular misalignment. Contour-based LiDAR navigation, 360-degree safety sensing and VDA 5050 compatibility support mixed logistics operations.
Source - 2025-12-01 - Deployment - Jungheinrich deploys three mobile robots for DURABLE incoming goods
Deployment uses three Jungheinrich EAE 212a mobile robots. Robots took over transport and distribution tasks in incoming goods. DURABLE is named as the counterparty while Jungheinrich is the robotics-side company in the event.
Source - 2025-06-05 - Partnership - Jungheinrich and KINEXON collaborate on mobile robot fleet orchestration
The first Jungheinrich vehicles are being integrated into KINEXON Fleet Manager in a lab environment. The work targets real-time coordination of heterogeneous AGV and AMR fleets in industrial automation. KINEXON Fleet Manager serves as the vendor-agnostic orchestration layer for vehicle coordination, task allocation and operational visibility.
Source - 2023-08-23 - Acquisition - Jungheinrich acquires all Magazino shares
Jungheinrich already held a stake in Magazino before the full acquisition. The deal covered shares held by founders and previous co-shareholders.
Source - 2023-06-14 - Partnership - Rocla and Jungheinrich launch Rocrich joint venture
The joint venture focused on automated guided vehicles and automated warehouse solutions. Rocla technology was one of the named automation foundations for the new venture. The announcement tied Rocla AGV technology to North American warehouse automation expansion.
