L3Harris Technologies
About
About L3Harris Technologies
L3Harris supplies communications, navigation, sensing and payload technology that sits inside or around uncrewed systems. Drone Guardian fuses radar, radio-frequency, optical and acoustic detections into a counter-UAS operating picture, while compact radios connect unmanned platforms with operators and wider tactical networks.
The company also produces fibre-optic tether products that maintain high-bandwidth, low-signature communications over distances exceeding 25 kilometres. These links support drones and underwater systems in heavily jammed environments where ordinary radio control is unreliable.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-10-15 - Partnership - Skydio and L3Harris integrate anti-jam communications on X10D
The integrated radio and waveform provide layered anti-jam protection. More than 150,000 tactical radios in U.S. and allied inventories can host the Wraith waveform. The Wraith Shield waveform adds spectrum scanning, threat detection and counter-drone functions.
Source - 2026-10-13 - Production Milestone - L3Harris starts VAMPIRE deliveries under U.S. Army’s $106 million order
VAMPIRE provides reconnaissance and precision strike against drones and other remotely piloted aircraft. The system has accumulated more than 350,000 operational hours in European combat operations since 2023. A dedicated Huntsville, Alabama production facility was established earlier in the year to support increased output.
Source - 2026-10-13 - Demonstration - L3Harris demonstrates first Red Wolf launch from an MH-60 helicopter
The test was conducted with Army Special Operations Aviation Command’s Systems Integration Management Office. The milestone supports integration with Black Hawks and other H-60 variants. The Wolf Pack portfolio, which includes Red Wolf and Green Wolf, has reached 60 flight demonstrations across multiple launch contexts.
Source - 2026-09-08 - Contract Award - L3Harris selected to deliver VAMPIRE counter-UxS systems to U.S. Navy
The maritime configuration is being ruggedised against environmental stresses encountered in naval operations. VAMPIRE combines reconnaissance and precision-strike functions against drones and remotely piloted platforms. L3Harris is separately delivering VAMPIRE systems to the U.S. Army.
Source - 2026-07-16 - Demonstration - Green Wolf test combines L3Harris DiSCO with Shield AI Hivemind
Hivemind commanded the Green Wolf aircraft using threat data supplied by L3Harris DiSCO. The live-range scenario detected, analyzed and responded to electromagnetic threats without human intervention. The test used L3Harris Deceptor payloads across multiple uncrewed aircraft.
Source - 2026-07-10 - Contract Award - Australia awards A$6.2M across three AUKUS undersea-autonomy contracts
The A$6.2 million figure is the aggregate value across three contracts and is not allocated by supplier. The recipients are BAE Systems Australia, L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems Australia and Mission Systems. The work targets communications and command technologies for autonomous underwater vehicle control.
Source - 2026-06-16 - Partnership - L3Harris and Skydagger sign MOU for VAMPIRE drone-interceptor capability
The companies plan to evaluate Skydagger interceptor-drone technology for the VAMPIRE C-UxS system. L3Harris says the new drone capability would be manufactured in the United States for allied operations. VAMPIRE high-volume production began in Huntsville, Alabama in 2026.
Source - 2026-05-19 - Capability - L3Harris scales fiber-optic tether systems for drones and subsea uncrewed platforms
L3Harris detailed fiber-optic tether systems designed to provide jam-resistant communications for drones and subsea platforms. The company said U.S. Navy and industry partners selected L3Harris as a fiber-optic tether provider for maritime and subsea uncrewed applications. The update is relevant to autonomous systems because fiber-guided links are becoming a practical answer to RF jamming in contested environments.
Source - 2026-04-24 - Demonstration - L3Harris integrates MQ-72C for fourth autonomous flight test
The test used an H-145 aircraft configured as the autonomous MQ-72C prototype. L3Harris provides the programme’s digital backbone and lead systems-integration work. The aircraft flew autonomously, avoided obstacles and landed under representative conditions.
