About AICA

AICA Studio gives integrators a graphical environment for composing robot applications, while its real-time controllers combine position, velocity, vision and force feedback. The architecture supports adaptive tasks such as screwdriving, polishing and assembly across compatible industrial and collaborative robots.

An open SDK and simulation tools support custom development and validation before deployment. Reinforcement-learning modules add learned behaviours to the control stack, and AICAdemy provides training for the engineers and operators who configure and maintain applications.

Timeline

Events

  • 2025-10-14 - Product Launch - AICA releases Core v5 Enduring Eiger

Its event engine adds asynchronous control rates and metadata tools for applications whose robot and computer loops run at different rates. AICA Studio receives context-aware panels, improved search and inline editing for building and managing robot applications. The release advances AICA’s industrial robot-software stack without changing the underlying robot hardware supplied by integration partners.

  • 2025-10-07 - Demonstration - AICA and Project LAMBDA demonstrate AI-guided EV-battery disassembly

The final tests ran on Circu Li-ion's battery-disassembly line in Luxembourg using a KUKA industrial robot. The system combined reinforcement learning, 3D vision and force sensing to cut and remove a cable harness from a real high-voltage battery pack. AICA supplied the adaptive control and implementation layer while the Swiss Battery Technology Center developed robot-learning and sim-to-real methods.
