About Baraja
Baraja develops long-range LiDAR for autonomous vehicles and heavy equipment. Its Spectrum-Scan architecture directs a wavelength-tunable laser through prism-like optics, steering the beam without a moving fast-axis mechanism. Software can vary resolution within the field of view, concentrating points on distant or safety-critical regions while retaining wider environmental coverage.
Spectrum Off-Road packages the technology for mining and other harsh environments. Co-developed with Hitachi Construction Machinery, the sensor provides a configurable 120-degree horizontal and 30-degree vertical field of view, up to 660,000 points per second and user-defined angular resolution. The separated engine and sensor head are rated IP67 and designed for operation from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, with the sensor head tested to 100G shock. Baraja also develops automotive units, including the compact Spectrum HD25 architecture with per-point Doppler velocity and a stated detection range beyond 250 metres.
