About Basler

Basler connects camera configuration and image acquisition with a modular image-processing workflow in pylon. Developers use the Workbench to link individual vTools for operations such as calibration, measurement and code reading, then save the chain as a recipe. They can test the recipe on images and inspect intermediate results before embedding it in an application.

The pylon data-processing API loads and executes these recipes and returns their results to the host program. Updating a recipe can change the processing behaviour without recompiling the application. Alongside this software, Basler supplies cameras and complementary optics, lighting and acquisition components, giving integrators a path from image capture to an application-specific inspection or perception system.
