About
About Berkshire Grey
Core combines perception, gripping, motion planning and placement to pick mixed stock, while Dispatch routes small parcels through automated sortation. Stride uses autonomous shuttles for item sorting, and Scoop pairs bulk unloading with robotic picking for mixed packages inside trailers and containers.
Berkshire Grey integrates these machines with warehouse software and controls rather than selling isolated robot arms. Its systems target retail, e-commerce, grocery and third-party logistics operations, and the company provides lifecycle monitoring, maintenance and operational support after deployment.

- 2026-02-03 - Product Launch - Berkshire Grey launches Scoop robotic trailer unloader
Scoop combines bulk unloading with robotic picking so it can handle unstructured loads rather than relying only on item-by-item extraction. Berkshire Grey said customer-installed pilot programmes were under way when the system was announced. Production deployments were planned for 2026 across parcel, retail, e-commerce and third-party logistics operations.

Notes
Profile notes
- Berkshire Grey’s SPAC growth case ended in a much smaller SoftBank take-private
reviewed 2026-07-20 - Berkshire Grey entered the public market in 2021 at a pro forma enterprise value of about $2.2 billion around a rapid-growth warehouse-automation case. Less than two years later, SoftBank agreed to take it private in a transaction valuing the company at about $375 million and supplied interim financing needed to support operations through closing. The robotics business continued, but the take-private was a rescue and ownership reset rather than delivery of the scale implied by the public-market plan.
