About Botyard Intelligence
Botyard Intelligence is developing a tendon-driven robotic hand as a component and software platform for manipulation research and humanoid integration. Gaoshan S1 has 22 joints, 18 of them actively driven, and completes a full-range movement cycle in under 0.3 seconds. Distributed tactile sensing and force control support delicate contact and stronger grasps, while an embedded action library supplies reusable motion primitives.
Integration resources cover ROS, Gazebo, MuJoCo and Isaac Lab, allowing teams to prototype control and learning pipelines in simulation before transferring them to hardware. Botyard combines hand kinematics and dynamics with classical control, reinforcement learning and vision-language-action methods. Gaoshan S1 is currently offered for pre-order, placing it at an early commercial stage for developers building manipulation systems and collecting embodied-AI training data.
