Dexcel Robotics develops Apex Hand, a dexterous end effector for manipulation research and embodied-AI systems. The 1.2-kilogram hand has 21 articulated degrees of freedom, 16 active joints, backdrivable actuation and a stated maximum load of 30 kilograms. Position, velocity and torque control are available through its real-time interface.

An electronic-skin layer covers the fingertips, inner joints and palm, with optional pressure and fingertip tangential-force sensing. The controller can return joint position, current, temperature and tactile data over Ethernet at up to 1,000 hertz. This integrated sensing and actuation gives developers a platform for grasp learning, contact-rich manipulation and teleoperation while leaving arm selection and whole-robot control to the host system.

    Fortune Capital and returning investor Primavera Venture Partners co-led the Pre-A round above RMB100 million. INCE Capital and Nanshan Zhanxintou participated, while existing investor HighLight Capital made an oversubscribed follow-on investment. Proceeds support Apex Hand capacity expansion and mass delivery, the dexterous-manipulation platform ecosystem and global market expansion.

  • 2025-09-11 - Funding - Dexcel Robotics closes tens-of-millions Angel++ round

    HighLight Capital and Primavera Venture Partners co-led the financing, with Lighthouse Capital serving as exclusive financial adviser. The transaction was Dexcel's fourth financing of 2025 and brought its cumulative funding during the year to RMB100 million. Dexcel allocated the round to product mass production, technology development and team expansion.
