CONTACT CI develops wearable interfaces for collecting force-aware human manipulation data and teleoperating dexterous robots. Maestro gloves capture hand kinematics, fingertip contact and continuous force as synchronised channels, giving learning systems information about how strongly and where a person interacts with an object in addition to the motion itself.
Bidirectional haptic actuation returns robot contact forces to the operator during remote manipulation, helping users regulate grasp and insertion tasks. Intervention sessions can then become labelled demonstrations for improving a robot policy. Platform and Maestro software development kits connect the hardware to Unity, Unreal and native C++ applications on Windows. CONTACT supplies the interface as a data-capture and control layer for physical-AI teams, robotic-hand developers and remote-operation programmes.
