About Force Dimension
Force Dimension manufactures high-precision haptic interfaces that translate hand movement into robot or simulated motion and return forces to the operator. The omega family provides three-axis translation, optional wrist orientation and active grasp feedback; sigma and lambda devices extend dexterous six- and seven-degree-of-freedom teleoperation; and the modular delta platform supports custom research end effectors and larger workspaces.
Devices connect over USB and run control loops up to four kilohertz through Haptic and Robotics SDKs for Windows, Linux, macOS, QNX and VxWorks. They are used as master controls for surgical, industrial, underwater and space robots, including NeuroArm brain surgery trials and the PILOTE experiment aboard the International Space Station. Bimanual workstations pair left- and right-hand devices for coordinated remote manipulation.
