About FormHand
FormHand develops shape-adaptive gripping pads for industrial handling. Granulate-filled pads conform around objects with different geometry, surface and rigidity, allowing one end effector to move a wider mix of parts.
The technology is integrated into robots and material-handling systems for logistics and manufacturing. Holding force, object compatibility, cycle time and cleanliness depend on pad size, vacuum supply, contact area and application.

- 2022-05-25 - Partnership - FIPA adds FormHand universal gripper through strategic partnership
FIPA combined its FIPALIFTpro tube lifter with a FormHand gripping pad for irregular and flexible goods. The integrated system safely handled loads up to 25 kilograms, including shrink-wrapped PET bottles where conventional suction cups failed. The partnership brought FormHand's shape-adaptive gripping technology into FIPA's commercial handling portfolio.

FormHand prevailed in the digital final held on 14 June 2021 and was announced as the category winner. The competition began with 16 startups across four preliminary rounds before four companies reached the final. The winning business develops adaptable universal grippers for production and logistics.

FormHand took first place in the sixth edition of the Braunschweig founders' competition. The award recognised the company's universal gripping pads for production and logistics. The competition, organised by Braunschweigische Landessparkasse and Braunschweig Zukunft, carried a total prize pool of EUR10,000.
