About
About GrayMatter Robotics
GrayMatter's workcells scan the part placed in front of them and generate tool paths around its actual geometry. Force and vision feedback then adapt the tool's movement and contact with the surface, combining shape measurement with the process requirements for sanding, grinding, polishing or other treatments. This supports mixed production in which successive parts can have different shapes.
The hardware configuration changes with the application, including single-arm cells and rail or mobile arrangements that extend reach across larger parts. GrayMatter combines the robots, sensors and tools with its GMR-AI software, an operator interface and process expertise. Its service offering includes training and ongoing support, with hardware, software and service available through recurring-fee arrangements.
