About
About Intel
Intel supplies the general-purpose compute, integrated graphics, neural-processing and networking layers used in many industrial and robotic systems. Core Ultra processors combine CPU, GPU and NPU resources for mixed control and inference workloads, while Xeon and accelerator products serve higher-power edge servers and training infrastructure. Ethernet and time-sensitive-networking components connect machines with local industrial systems.
The Intel Robotics AI Suite packages ROS 2, OpenVINO inference, simulation and real-time control components for Intel hardware. Developers can run perception and planning on the main processor while connecting deterministic motor and I/O networks through CANopen, EtherCAT and related interfaces. The software layer is intended to reduce integration work between an AI application and the machine controller, particularly for mobile robots, manipulators and industrial physical-AI systems.

A humanoid powered by the Circulus software and Intel processor was demonstrated at Red Hat Summit 2026.
Source - 2026-05-20 - Capability - Sensory AI moves Ella robot to an Intel-only edge architecture
The system-on-chip combines CPU, GPU and neural-processing functions for vision, language and motion workloads. Ella runs Avatar, store-operations and system-health agents concurrently without sending the control loop to the cloud. Removing the discrete graphics processor reduces heat, hardware cost and maintenance complexity for deployed coffee kiosks.
Source - 2026-04-21 - Partnership - Outsight and Intel integrate physical-AI spatial intelligence at the enterprise edge
The combination targets airports, stations, hospitals, industrial sites, smart cities and venues. Shift processes LiDAR data with stated sub-100-millisecond latency without cloud round trips. The collaboration includes premises-wide spatial context for robots in addition to people and object-flow monitoring.

Notes
Profile notes
- Intel's AscTec acquisition ended in product retirement and third-party support transfer
reviewed 2026-07-20 - Intel acquired Ascending Technologies and continued its industrial-drone technology through the Falcon 8+ programme. Intel later ended the relevant drone products and transferred continuing Falcon 8 support to Topcon, so the installed product line did not remain an actively developed Intel robotics business.
Source - TurtleBot Euclid became an open design after Clearpath cancelled the commercial product
reviewed 2026-07-20 - Clearpath cancelled its TurtleBot Euclid offering and released the mechanical design and code openly. That preserved material for community reuse, but it did not preserve a sold and supported Euclid product; the continuing TurtleBot ecosystem should not be treated as evidence that Euclid remained commercially available.
