About ModalAI
VOXL 2 combines an AI companion computer and PX4 or ArduPilot flight controller on a 70-by-36-millimetre board weighing 16 grams. Its Qualcomm QRB5165 processor provides eight CPU cores, 8 GB of memory and 15 TOPS of neural processing, with interfaces for stereo, tracking, thermal, time-of-flight and high-resolution cameras.
VOXL SDK supplies visual-inertial navigation, SLAM, obstacle avoidance and recognition alongside ROS 1 and ROS 2, OpenCV, MAVSDK and containerised development. Add-on radios cover Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G, Microhard and Doodle Labs links. ModalAI manufactures the NDAA-compliant board in the United States and offers it both as an active-production module and inside Starling reference drones for GPS-denied autonomy development.
