About Kopin Corporation
Kopin combines miniature displays with optics to turn electronic imagery into a view that an operator can use close to the eye. Its optical modules integrate these parts into compact assemblies for headsets, viewers and other portable equipment, reducing the amount of separate optical engineering required by the device manufacturer.
Different module designs address brightness, power consumption, temperature and image requirements. Golden Pearl, for example, combines a transmissive LCD, backlighting and curved-prism optics for viewing in bright conditions. Kopin also develops customised assemblies with customers, supporting the transition from a display component to an application-specific viewing system for industrial, medical and defence equipment.
