About Nordic Unmanned
Nordic Unmanned AS selects aircraft, payloads and mission software around a customer's required aerial data, then supplies the crews and operating support. Maritime work includes vessel-based surveillance, while its wider service portfolio covers infrastructure inspection and logistics. The former listed parent, Nordic Unmanned ASA, entered bankruptcy proceedings in February 2025.
In June 2026, the current operator announced a signed EMSA framework for ship-based surveillance using Quantum Systems Vector aircraft. Configuration testing preceded contract signature, and Nordic Unmanned supplies the service while Quantum Systems supplies the aircraft. The arrangement builds on the operator's experience launching surveillance missions from vessels.
