About Korean Air
Korean Air’s Aerospace Business Division manufactures aircraft structures, performs depot-level maintenance and upgrades military aircraft alongside the group’s commercial airline operations. Its programmes include fixed-wing and rotary-wing support, aerostructure production for international manufacturers and the development of uncrewed aircraft for surveillance, logistics and specialised missions.
The division is also developing digital maintenance, autonomous inspection and advanced-air-mobility capabilities. Its aircraft-inspection drones use imaging and automated flight to examine exterior surfaces, while the ACROSS platform addresses fleet operation and traffic coordination for future air-mobility services. Korean Air therefore participates both as an aircraft operator and as an engineering, manufacturing and lifecycle-support contractor for aerospace and defence customers.
