About OceanScan
OceanScan designs and manufactures the LAUV family of lightweight autonomous underwater vehicles for oceanographic, hydrographic and security missions. A single operator can launch and recover a vehicle from shore, a pier or a small boat without a crane. Modular navigation, communications and payload sections accept side-scan and multibeam sonar, cameras, environmental sensors, Doppler velocity logs and inertial systems for seabed mapping, water-column profiling, inspection and search.
Neptus software covers mission planning, simulation, execution, vehicle monitoring and post-mission analysis for one or multiple LAUVs. A portable Manta gateway links Wi-Fi, cellular, satellite and acoustic communications, while the open LSTS software toolchain lets users add algorithms and behaviours. Profiler configurations operate for more than eight hours at three knots and can exceed 48 hours at two knots; Mapper variants support pipeline inspection, mine countermeasures and underwater surveillance. OceanScan reports worldwide deployments totalling thousands of operating hours, including vehicles delivered to the Danish Navy.
