About Prensilia
Prensilia develops anthropomorphic hands around underactuated and tendon-driven mechanisms that reproduce several grasp types with fewer motors than joints. IH2 Azzurra provides an open research platform with five fingers and tactile options, while Mia is configured as a myoelectric prosthesis and can also be adapted for industrial or service manipulation.
In prosthetic use, electrodes detect residual muscle activity and map it into selected grips. Research and automation customers instead connect the hand to a robot arm, teleoperation interface or learning controller. Prensilia supplies the hand, embedded control and integration tools and also works as an automation integrator, allowing the same hand technology to move between assistive and robotic applications.
