About Pressure Profile Systems
Pressure Profile Systems develops capacitive pressure-mapping and tactile-sensing systems for robotics, medical devices, ergonomics and engineering test work. Its TactArray products map contact pressure across flat, curved and customised surfaces, while SingleTact provides compact single-point force measurement for embedded applications.
RoboTact is designed for robot fingers and grippers, measuring contact force, pressure distribution, vibration and early slip through a 12-element array and integrated accelerometer. It supports USB and Bluetooth connections plus a ROS 2 driver for robot integration. PPS also develops custom sensor geometry, pressure range, electronics and software from prototypes through scalable production.
