About SmartRay

SmartRay develops compact laser-triangulation sensors for three-dimensional inspection, metrology and robot guidance. ECCO sensors project a laser line across a moving surface and convert the reflected profile into calibrated height data and point clouds. The range provides as many as 4,096 points per profile and sub-micrometre vertical resolution in selected configurations, with dual-head models reducing occlusions around complex parts.

JOSY combines SmartRay sensors, configurable software and integration services into a turnkey joining-inspection system. It scans welds and adhesive seams inline, measures geometry, identifies pores and other defects, and stores objective inspection results for traceability and process control. Compact MICO hardware can follow the reach envelope of a welding torch, while the wider ECCO family handles electronics, glass, formed metal and electric-vehicle battery components. SmartRay evaluates parts, builds and tests the application, commissions it at the plant and provides after-sales support.
