TwinSpin integrates a precision reduction gear with a radial-axial output bearing in a compact unit. The arrangement is intended for high-ratio, low-lost-motion joints that must carry both torque and external loads. DriveSpin adds an AC servomotor to the reduction gear as a ready-to-integrate rotary actuator, with standard and hollow-shaft configurations for different packaging needs.
SPINEA manufactures in Haniska, Slovakia and operates as a Timken business following the completed 2022 acquisition. Timken positions TwinSpin alongside its Cone Drive harmonic gearing and encoder lines for industrial robots and autonomous mobile machines. Its current robotics material names MoveSpin traction and steering units for AGVs and AMRs.

The actuator combines a maxon EC-flat motor with a TwinSpin 50 M-series cycloidal gearbox. SPINEA modified the gearbox for the VUB robotics team's integration requirements. The completed unit weighs 650 g and produces peak torque above 30 N-m from 24 V or 48 V power.
