Tamagawa Seiki manufactures sensors and motion-control components for robotics, vehicles, aerospace and industrial machinery. Its products include brushless resolvers, rotary encoders, gyroscopes, inertial measurement units, servo motors, drivers and rate-control equipment.
Resolvers provide absolute shaft-angle feedback through transformer-style electromagnetic coupling and are available in compact, hollow-shaft and high-reliability forms. Gyro and inertial products measure angular rate, acceleration and attitude for stabilisation and navigation, while motors and controllers close the positioning loop. Tamagawa combines these elements in systems for robot joints, vehicle steering, aircraft mechanisms, antennas and precision test equipment.

The unit combines a fiber-optic rotary joint with an electrical slip ring. A self-alignment mechanism is designed to limit optical insertion loss during long-term operation. The product was developed for surveillance-camera platforms and complies with MIL-STD-810 environmental requirements.
