About
About Torc Robotics
Torc’s virtual driver combines cameras, radar and lidar with onboard planning and control software for hub-to-hub motorway freight. The production vehicle is a factory-integrated Freightliner Cascadia with redundant steering, braking, power and communications systems designed to maintain control after individual component failures.
The autonomous stack runs on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX-based compute and is supported by remote operations, mapping, fleet management and freight-terminal infrastructure. Torc is commercialising the system through defined highway routes between logistics hubs rather than attempting unrestricted urban operation from the first deployment.

- 2026-09-30 - Org Change - Torc discloses DataLoop and Simulation division for AV 3.0 development
The division comprises Simulation, Data Ops, ML Ops and ML Data teams. Torc standardised on Ray by Anyscale to orchestrate large machine-learning workloads. Each truck mission produces roughly 9 TB of data per hour, according to Torc.
Source - 2026-05-26 - Partnership - Torc establishes physical-AI research partnership with Mila
The collaboration covers world models, multi-agent behaviour modelling, reinforcement learning and foundation models for autonomous trucking. The agreement is a research partnership and does not itself represent a vehicle deployment or customer programme.
Source - 2026-02-24 - Demonstration - Torc expands autonomous truck testing to Michigan public roads
The testing uses the latest-generation Daimler Truck autonomous chassis based on Freightliner Cascadia. The expansion adds Michigan to Torc's existing testing operations in Dallas-Fort Worth and Blacksburg.
Source - 2025-01-02 - Partnership - Torc and Aeva expand autonomous-truck development collaboration
The companies expanded an existing collaboration. The work includes sensing-data development. A shared Freightliner Cascadia platform supports testing; commercial fleet deployment is not inferred.
