About WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH
WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH is a German sensor company founded in 1999 and headquartered in Ottobrunn, with an additional branch in Brühl. It develops and manufactures measurement technology for position, displacement and distance, and distributes its products through partners in more than 40 countries.
The portfolio includes draw-wire, laser, inductive, ultrasonic, magnetic and optical measurement technologies, alongside encoders and vibration-analysis equipment. Robotics relevance sits in this sensing layer: machine builders and automation engineers can use these devices for position feedback, distance measurement and motion monitoring. Exact sensor families remain product candidates for separate specification and lifecycle review.

- 2026-07-07 - Product Launch - WayCon launches WSTIP waterproof displacement sensors
The IP68 sensors use corrosion-resistant stainless-steel housings and operate from -20 to 125 degrees Celsius. Depending on the model, measurement ranges extend from 0.8 to 30 mm, with resolution as fine as 0.4 micrometres and frequencies up to 50 kHz. Available measurement amplifiers provide 0-10 V, 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA outputs.
