About Squarehead Technology
Squarehead Technology’s Discovair systems combine a 128-microphone array with an optical camera and edge-processing unit. Digital beamforming separates sound by direction, allowing the system to localise and classify aircraft, drones, machinery and other acoustic sources within a broad hemispheric field of view.
Because detection is passive, the array does not transmit energy or depend on a target carrying a cooperative identifier. Installations can operate alone or as a network, cue cameras and provide tracks to wider command or monitoring systems. Squarehead supplies the technology for counter-UAS, industrial diagnostics and autonomous-vessel awareness through subsidiaries, distributors and systems integrators that adapt the acoustic layer to each operating environment.
