AI Sapiens K0
About
About AI Sapiens K0
AI Sapiens K0 is ROBOTIS's original humanoid configuration for physical-AI research and development. Its 1.3-metre, 34-kilogram body has 23 powered joints: five in each arm, six in each leg and one at the waist. Fourteen QM-060 and nine QM-080 DYNAMIXEL-Q actuators provide quasi-direct-drive motion with low reduction ratios, backdrivability and torque-level control.
Jetson Orin NX computing supports learned policies on the robot, with leader-follower data collection for imitation learning and simulation tools for reinforcement-learning development. The maximum arm payload is three kilograms. ROBOTIS introduced K0 as the first step in its AI Sapiens programme. K1 uses a larger, heavier body and a different DYNAMIXEL-Q actuator arrangement, while retaining the same 23-joint layout and research focus. K0 preserves the programme's original hardware baseline.
