About Spot Arm

Spot Arm is a six-degree-of-freedom manipulator mounted on the Spot quadruped. Its gripper, wrist camera and integrated sensing support grasping, dragging, lifting and precise interaction with doors, valves, switches and industrial equipment.

Boston Dynamics’ whole-body controller coordinates the arm and quadruped legs, allowing Spot to reposition its body while manipulating an object. Operators can use remote control, autonomous actions and API-based applications. The arm extends Spot into hazardous inspection and intervention workflows.
