About Canvas 1200CX

Canvas 1200CX is JLG's worker-operated robotic machine for applying joint compound and sanding Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finishes. A self-driving all-wheel-steer base positions the finishing mechanism along interior walls, while operators select work areas, supervise coverage and complete detail tasks around edges and obstructions.

The 30-by-35.4-inch chassis passes through openings as narrow as 30 inches and reaches surfaces up to 12 feet high. It weighs approximately 1,200 pounds and runs for a working day on one battery charge. Real-time site and machine data support progress and maintenance planning. The system automates repeated application and sanding passes within a crew's wider preparation, masking, inspection and touch-up workflow.

    2024-07-10 - Product Launch - The all-wheel-drive machine measures 30 by 34.5 inches, weighs 1,200 pounds and reaches a 12-foot finishing height. It spray-applies joint compound before an interchangeable sanding head completes the finishing workflow after one drying cycle. Canvas said the battery-powered platform runs for a full workday and its vacuum system captures 99.9% of sanding dust.
