Cruzr S2

About

About Cruzr S2

Cruzr S2 is UBTECH's wheeled industrial humanoid for sorting, component assembly and material handling. Its lifting torso and bidirectional waist adjust the working height by 40 centimetres, with a stated 15-kilogram handling capacity across a workspace from floor level to 1.8 metres. The body can rotate within passages approximately 0.8 metres wide.

Binocular RGB vision produces depth maps for perception, while learning-based motion control supports navigation and balancing. Fourth-generation industrial dexterous hands and a sim-to-real learning system support grasping and contact tasks; UBTECH specifies sub-millimetre manipulation precision. S2 is offered as a customized industrial system, combining mobile positioning with an upper body that can work at different heights. It serves a different role from Cruzr's public-facing greeting and tour-guide models.

Timeline

  • UBTECH opens Liuzhou humanoid manufacturing facility

2026-09-12 - Production Milestone - The 14,000-square-metre facility was designed for one robot every ten minutes and planned annual capacity above 10,000 units. Cruzr Y1 and Cruzr S2 handled material-supply tasks, while reconfigurable assembly workstations supported mixed Walker and Cruzr production. The digital manufacturing system combined lifecycle management, simulation, production scheduling and quality control through cooperation with Siemens.
