About CyberGrasp

CyberGrasp routes tendons from a desktop or backpack-mounted actuator unit to an adjustable hand exoskeleton worn over a wired CyberGlove. Five independently controlled actuators apply forces of up to 12 N to the fingers, generating resistance when the user contacts or closes around a simulated object. The accompanying CyberGlove supplies hand and joint-position data, while an Ethernet-connected force-control unit coordinates the haptic response.

The system supports virtual prototyping, simulation, training and telemanipulation workflows where operators need both finger tracking and physical grasp cues. Its ungrounded architecture preserves hand movement within an approximately one-metre workspace and can be paired with the CyberForce armature for additional haptic interaction. CyberGlove Systems supplies CyberGrasp as a configurable research and professional haptics system through direct enquiry.
