About SenseGlove DK1

DK1 uses an articulated exoskeleton to measure finger movement and reconstruct the user’s hand pose inside a virtual or robotic environment. Mechanical resistance can oppose finger flexion to simulate the size and rigidity of a grasped object, giving the user force feedback during interaction.

Each finger also includes an eccentric rotating-mass actuator for programmable vibration. Developers can set vibration amplitude across 100 levels at approximately 200 hertz, using the feedback to represent contact, texture or interface events. The platform formed the development foundation for SenseGlove’s later Nova and Nova 2 products.
