Danu Robotics H.E.R.O. is a modular multi-arm robotic sorting system that uses computer vision and pick-level feedback for waste and materials sorting.
About
Danu Robotics H.E.R.O. is a modular robotic sorting system for material-recovery facilities. A scalable multi-arm, multi-picker architecture uses computer vision to identify items on a conveyor, while feedback at the bin records successful picks. The Series 2 design is intended to fit within less than one metre of conveyor space.
The system targets recovery of valuable materials from mixed waste streams and can be reconfigured as sorting requirements change. Danu states that roughly 90 percent of its hardware components are recyclable, a product-construction claim distinct from facility recovery performance. Material identification, pick success and throughput depend on the installed configuration and the characteristics of the incoming stream.
