Deep Trekker’s DT340 is a portable, steerable crawler for visual inspection of sewer, stormwater and industrial pipework. Rechargeable batteries inside the vehicle remove the need for topside power, while the sealed system is rated for operation to 50 metres underwater. Wheel kits, tracks and quick-release camera or accessory mounts adapt the crawler to different pipe materials, diameters and debris conditions.

The shared pipe-crawler system can work for up to eight hours after a 1.5-hour charge and accept as much as 400 metres of tether. Static and pan-tilt-zoom camera heads provide live imagery to the handheld controller; recorded video can also feed WinCan, GraniteNet, ITpipes, CTSpec or other inspection software. Deep Trekker reports that a configured crawler can negotiate a 90-degree turn inside a ten-inch pipe.
