DENSO VMB Series

DENSO's VMB Series comprises six-axis industrial robots for handling, tending and assembly cells that need a 25-kilogram wrist payload. The VMB-2515 reaches 1,506 millimetres and the VMB-2518 extends that envelope to 1,804 millimetres. Both models have a published repeatability of plus or minus 0.05 millimetres, with AC servo motors and brakes on every axis.

Internal wiring, air piping and EtherCAT cabling reduce the number of services that integrators must route outside the arm. DENSO offers standard, IP67 and ISO Class 5 cleanroom versions, so the selected model must match the cell's ingress-protection and cleanliness requirements. The robot still forms one part of an engineered automation system: tooling, sensing, guarding, process equipment and controller programming determine the work it can perform at a particular installation.
