About ROOK
ROOK is a six-wheel unmanned ground vehicle developed by Elbit Systems and Roboteam as a modular carrier for tactical payloads. Its open box structure allows field replacement of major components and supports payload integration through the UGV Interoperability Profile. Operators can control the vehicle through Elbit's TORCH-X robotic application or a rugged handheld display, with teleoperation and autonomous navigation available for rough-terrain travel by day or night.
The vehicle weighs 1,200 kilograms and carries up to 1,200 kilograms of payload, with 24 centimetres of ground clearance and a maximum speed of 30 kilometres per hour. A hybrid energy architecture combines batteries with an optional internal generator and is specified for up to 8 driving hours. Configurations can carry logistics loads, sensing equipment, casualty-evacuation fittings, small aerial vehicles or remote weapon systems. One operator can supervise multiple vehicles through the TORCH-X control environment when the selected mission configuration supports it.
