M-1000iA

M-1000iA is FANUC's six-axis heavy-payload industrial robot with a 1,000-kilogram wrist capacity and 3,253 mm reach. Unlike the parallel-link mechanism used by many robots in this payload class, it uses a serial-link arrangement. FANUC says this expands vertical and longitudinal motion and enables the arm to flip over, supporting access around very large loads.

The combination of payload, wrist inertia capacity and working envelope targets heavy material handling such as electric-vehicle battery packs and lifting fixtures. Published limits describe the bare robot's rated performance; usable load also depends on the gripper, load centre, inertia and programmed path. Cell engineering must address foundations, part restraint, safeguarding and coordinated equipment before the arm can perform a production transfer.
