Robotino 4

Robotino 4 is Festo Didactic's programmable omnidirectional mobile robot for education and laboratory research. Three driven omni-wheels give the circular platform independent translation along two axes and rotation about its vertical axis, while integrated sensors, interfaces and mounting points support experiments in control, perception and navigation.

The base is 450 millimetres in diameter and 325 millimetres high, weighs 20 kilograms before batteries and carries a centred payload up to 30 kilograms. Four removable 18-volt battery packs bring operating weight to about 22.8 kilograms. Its embedded computer uses an eighth-generation Intel Core i5, eight gigabytes of memory and Ubuntu Linux, with a browser interface and multiple programming environments available for coursework and application development.
