GelSight Mini
About
About GelSight Mini
GelSight Mini is a compact vision-based tactile sensor that images deformation of a replaceable elastomeric gel when it touches an object. The system produces two-dimensional contact imagery and three-dimensional surface maps for robot learning, grasp analysis and contact-rich manipulation research.
The current datasheet specifies an 8-megapixel camera, capture at up to 25 frames per second and an 18.6 by 14.3 millimetre field of view. USB connectivity and tool-less gel replacement support bench and robot integration; the host computer and application software determine how measurements are interpreted or used for control.
