DM-Tac W2
About
About DM-Tac W2
DM-Tac W2 is a vision-based tactile sensor that measures the shape and force of contact at a robot's end effector. It outputs a three-dimensional deformation field, distributed force measurements and resultant force and moment, giving a controller information about how an object is interacting with the sensing surface. Both W2 sizes acquire data at 120 Hz.
The W2L and W2M packages provide different physical sizes and contact areas for gripper integration. They connect through USB 2.0 and support processing on CPUs, GPUs and edge boards. Visualisation tools display surface deformation and force changes, supporting integration, monitoring and manipulation development. The housings carry an IP67 rating for dust and water protection.
