JaiaBot Hydro
About
About JaiaBot Hydro
JaiaBot Hydro is Jaia Robotics’ core micro-sized aquatic vehicle for hydrographic and surf-zone data collection. The 3-kilogram, 96-centimetre vehicle operates on the surface and dives to 60 metres, travelling above 3.5 metres per second with an 11-kilometre surface range. Temperature, depth and CTD sensing support volumetric water-column observations.
Operators deploy one vehicle or a coordinated pod from a beach, dock, boat or riverbank. The system produces bathymetry, current vectors, wave heights and bottom-type information for amphibious surveys, wet-gap assessment, research and environmental work. Open-source Goby3 and MOOS-IvP middleware underpin communications and autonomy, while a shared hub handles mission planning and high-speed data transfer.
