JAKA K1
About
About JAKA K1
JAKA K1 is a fixed dual-arm robot for embodied-intelligence development and manipulation. Its two arms are arranged around a shared central support, creating a compact upper-body platform for work in front of the robot. Each seven-axis arm is rated for five kilograms with a 766-millimetre span and positioning repeatability of ±0.05 millimetres.
The system pairs the arms with an edge-control computer using a 12th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 128-gigabyte storage and four independent Gigabit Ethernet ports configurable for EtherCAT-master operation. The controller connects application computing with robot hardware for perception, manipulation and policy development. JAKA has presented the K1 in dual-arm weightlifting demonstrations and offers the platform through direct enquiries. Its stationary arrangement is suited to bench and workstation development, with the two arms operating within a common workspace.
Context
Market context
JAKA K-1 is JAKA Robotics' upper-body humanoid platform for precision manipulation and human-robot collaboration.
- Target environment: Electronics assembly lines, precision manufacturing cells, assistive work areas and structured service environments.
- Workflow context: Dual-arm manipulation, force-controlled handling, vision-guided tasks, tactile interaction and collaborative operation.
- Customer context: Manufacturers, automation integrators, research teams and service-robotics partners evaluating humanoid manipulation hardware.
- Deployment model: Prototype platform extending JAKA's collaborative-robot base into humanoid robotics.
- Commercial maturity: Prototype-stage humanoid product with public positioning but limited deployment evidence.
- Adoption constraints: Adoption depends on manipulation reliability, safety certification, tooling, integration with existing cells and cost versus cobots.
- Market position: Industrial cobot supplier moving into upper-body humanoids instead of starting from consumer or research robotics alone.
