KNR Superhumanoid Robotic Hand
About
About KNR Superhumanoid Robotic Hand
KNR Superhumanoid Robotic Hand is a development-stage end effector for the company's planned high-load bipedal robot. KNR reports that the hand is about twice adult-hand size and coordinates its finger joints with a reduced actuator count. It is designed for hydraulic or electric drive and for heavy-industry and construction work that combines load holding with controlled grasping.
The company reports a maximum one-hand grip force of 300 kgf, approximately 2,942 N, and filed a Korean patent application for the mechanism in April 2026. In September 2026 KNR also described an HRI control interface that synchronises an operator's fine hand motion and force in real time. The hand subsystem is complete; full-robot integration and commercial supply remain planned.

2026-07-27 - Capability - The completed hand is approximately twice adult-hand size and uses a mechanism intended to coordinate finger joints with fewer actuators. KNR says the hand is designed to support hydraulic or electric drive and filed a Korean patent application for its mechanism in April 2026. The full robot, 600-kilogram payload target, year-end integration schedule and prospective global technology customers remain development or commercial targets.
