About Ability Hand
Pressure sensors in the fingers measure contact during a grip and convert it into vibration against the user’s residual limb. The compliant fingers are designed to survive blunt impacts that would damage more rigid prosthetic mechanisms, while software provides a library of everyday grip patterns.
PSYONIC also supplies the hand to robotics laboratories through an open API. Researchers can command finger motion, read multiple touch points and use a simulation-ready model in NVIDIA Isaac Lab, linking the same commercially deployed hand to robot-learning, teleoperation and manipulation research as well as human prosthetic use.
