About Surge

Surge uses six powered degrees of freedom and metal finger mechanisms for high-load grasping. Rubberised fingertips, proximal finger surfaces and palm areas increase contact and grip stability, with published lifting capacity reaching approximately 18 kilograms per hand.

Individual fingers can be replaced in under five minutes. Optional tactile modules provide 80 force-sensing taxels per finger for contact distribution and closed-loop control. RS-485 communication and a 28–58-volt input range support integration with humanoid and robot-arm controllers.
