About TBM™2G Frameless Motors

TBM2G motors are supplied as separate permanent-magnet rotors and wound stators for direct integration into the customer’s joint or mechanism. Seven frame diameters and three standard stack lengths cover compact robotic axes, while operation at 48 volts or below and optional Hall and thermal sensors support mobile and collaborative systems.

Removing the external housing, shaft and bearings lets designers use the machine structure itself for support, cooling and environmental protection. The family is dimensioned to work with common strain-wave gearing and provides continuous torque up to approximately six newton-metres in catalogue configurations. Applications include robot joints, gimbals, propulsion systems, surgical equipment and aerospace mechanisms.
