About D-Series Frameless Motors

Nidec’s D-Series is supplied as separate rotor and stator components for integration directly into the customer’s joint or mechanism. Frame diameters span approximately 35–100 millimetres, with selectable stack lengths and large rotor bores for bearings, cabling and mechanical structure.

Catalogue configurations provide continuous torque from roughly 0.145 to 2.97 newton-metres and peak torque up to 9.68 newton-metres. Removing an external motor housing lets designers reduce mass and package the drive around the machine’s geometry and cooling. Nidec supports customised windings and configurations for robots, medical systems and industrial automation.
