About Tele-15

Tele-15 is Livox’s long-range 3D lidar for forward perception on vehicles and robotic platforms. Its non-repetitive scan concentrates measurements into a 14.5-degree horizontal by 16.2-degree vertical field of view. Detection reaches 320 m at 10% target reflectivity or 500 m at 50% under 100 klx illumination, with 240,000 points per second in single-return mode and 480,000 in dual-return mode.

A built-in BMI088 IMU supplies 200 Hz inertial measurements, while 100 Mbps Ethernet, PTPv2, PPS and GPS support sensor integration and synchronisation. The sensor draws 12 W typically and operates from −40 to 85 °C with the self-dissipation module; removing it requires alternative cooling. IP67 protection excludes the converter and cables. Its self-dissipation module changes the package: the complete assembly weighs 1,600 g, compared with 1,500 g without the module. Livox supplies the user manual and development tools for integrating the sensor.

  • Livox introduces Tele-15 long-range lidar at CES 2020

    2020-01-06 - Product Launch - The non-repetitive scan covered 99.8% of a roughly 15-degree circular field in 0.1 seconds. A point-cloud demonstration captured a building 497 m away. Chinese launch pricing was RMB 9,000; shipments were planned for the second quarter of 2020.
