About NeedleFish
NeedleFish is Ocean Infinity's 14-metre twin-hull uncrewed surface vessel for maritime patrol, surveillance, mapping and survey. The bespoke Kuwaiti Coast Guard configuration carries specialist surveillance sensors and streams live data beyond line of sight to shore-based command centres through the country's integrated maritime-awareness system.
Ocean Infinity launched the first public NeedleFish programme in Kuwait in July 2025 and reported the vessels running continuous national-surveillance operations from August that year. By July 2026, the operation had accumulated more than 13,000 hours in high heat, salinity and congested coastal waters. Those figures describe the Kuwait fleet and its commissioned sensor and communications fit, not every possible NeedleFish configuration.
